Porsche Centre Tewkesbury is delighted to announce their first Destination Charging partner, The Elms Hotel. The Spa hotel has had two electric charging units installed for customer use. For the Dick Lovett Group, this is our fourth Destination Charging Partner alongside Berwick Lodge, Homewood Bath and Whatley Manor.
Following on from the exciting launch of the first all-electric Porsche, the Taycan, Porsche have been busy setting up a charging network in places that their customers love. The Destination Charging Programme will enable Porsche Centres to partner with local luxury establishments to install a charging network for the battery-powered vehicles. So guests will be able to enjoy the facilities at their favourite venues while their car is on charge.
The Elms Hotel are thrilled to be a part of the programme with Porsche Centre Tewkesbury and we took the Taycan Cross Turismo there to try out the new chargers. The idyllic hotel has already received two Porsche Design EV chargers and will also be added as a charging stop on the Porsche Navigation system. The hotel is set in the Worcestershire countryside, near Abberley and Kidderminster. They offer spa breaks, fine dining and luxurious overnight stays.
Through the programme, The Elms Hotel can now offer EV charging to their visitors as the 11kW chargers are compatible with most types of Electric Vehicle that use a Type 2 charging plug.
The Destination Charging Programme is currently being rolled out across the UK with selected venues over the coming months. If you are interested in becoming a partner of the Porsche Destination Charging Programme, we would love to hear from you.
