On Friday 22nd November, Porsche Centre Swindon held a coffee morning to raise money for Myeloma UK.
The Classic Porsche Centre invited customers to join them for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. The chosen charity is very close to the hearts of our staff at the moment and the coffee morning was well attended as a result.
Each year in the UK, 5,700 people are diagnosed with the blood cancer, Myeloma. Affecting around 17,500 people in the UK, the disease mainly affects those over the age of 65 but it is starting to be diagnosed in young adults.
The team swapped their tools for wooden spoons, their ties for aprons and their computers for recipe books! The homemade cakes were a fantastic hit with fellow Dick Lovett staff and customers alike! The team also showed support for people fighting Myeloma by wearing something orange on the day.
The amount raised totalled over £6,500 for the important charity. We would like to thank everyone who has donated and a special thanks goes to Emerald Detailing who were among some of the large contributions.
