April was a bumper month for events at Porsche Centre Swindon. Alongside a 993 Seminar with Porsche Club GB, they also hosted Dick Lovett Porsche owners at Cylinder Club in mid-April and two further offsite events.
The 993 Technical Seminar was a fantastic chance for Porsche Centre Swindon to show off the many skills that the team hold as an Official Porsche Classic Centre. Porsche Club GB invited their 993 owners to attend the seminar to find out more about caring for their Classic Porsche.
The 120 members were split into 6 groups and given a colour-coded wristband. They then attended each of the 6 sessions on the day.

Between sessions, the members could enjoy a cup of coffee from the Porsche Club’s own portable coffee machine (which is cleverly disguised as a 356!) and a slice of the 993 cake which Simon Lisemore, Centre Principal, arranged for the day.
After the excitement of two weekend events in the Centre, Swindon then took their hosting skills off campus for the last two weekends in April.
The Easter weekend saw the start of the RestoRacing season for team Swindon. Their driver, Ollie Coles, took his seat for the second year in the 986 Boxster with Coca-Cola inspired livery. After a brilliant qualifying which saw Ollie take 2nd position, a dramatic and eventful set of races followed.
Before the next round of RestoRacing at Brands Hatch on 4th May, Porsche Swindon were entertaining guests again, but this time at Porsche Classic Life for the Sunday Scramble.
Located in Bicester Heritage, Porsche Classic Life is the first and only standalone Official Porsche Classic facility in Great Britain. Sunday 28th April saw over 6, 500 people through the gates of Bicester Heritage for the busiest event of the year on national ‘Drive It Day’.
