What is the ultimate two car garage? There are so many combinations that you could go for from the new Porsche model line-up.
Whether you need two family-friendly SUVs, something sporty for the weekend and something practical for the week, or even if you are looking for two cars which are sporty and fun for the maximum thrilling driving lifestyle… There is a two car Porsche garage for every situation, so we will be exploring the ultimate combinations over the next few weeks.
For our first instalment, we are looking at the fantastic combination of having a 718 Cayman and a Macan Turbo for your two car garage.
The 718 Cayman was made, simply put by Porsche, “for the sport of it”. The engine is a two-litre turbocharged flat-four which can output a maximum torque of 380Nm and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 4.9 seconds. The mid-engined Porsche sits at the lower end of the Porsche model price scale, but just because the starting price of a new 718 Cayman works out at about half the price of a 911 Carrera, it doesn’t mean you will be getting half the enjoyment.
The hard-top roadster represents the sporting spirit of the Porsche brand and has the goal “to take the everyday out of every day.” The style and design of the 718 brings the essence of the 981 Cayman into the present day with cleaner lines, and wings that sit higher than the front lid to enhance and draw attention to the headlights.
Taking a look inside, the interior is set up for driving enjoyment and comfort. This two-seater Porsche is perfect for a weekend getaway and still has plenty of space for storage with front and rear boot space for luggage.
Pricing starts from £44,790 incl. VAT, so for a sporty and exciting Porsche which is great for day trips, the 718 Cayman would make a great addition to your two car garage.
To accompany the 718 Cayman, you might want something a little bigger with a few more seats to accommodate more family members when you need to. The Macan Turbo is a great partner to the 718 Cayman in this respect, but the SUV Porsche isn’t just for being practical, the Turbo line also makes sure every trip is a trip in a sports car.
With a roomy boot space of approximately 500 litres, which triples to 1,500 litres with the rear seats folded, the Macan has enough room for bikes, luggage, family pets and a very big food shop!
The practicality of the Macan Turbo combined with the power would make a great daily driver for both business and pleasure. The Macan Turbo has five seats and is equipped with ISOFIX on the two outer rear seats for when you need to take the littlest Porsche enthusiasts out with you. This Porsche amalgamates the thrill of driving with everyday comfort and is tied neatly together with Porsche DNA.
As far as a two car Porsche garage goes, this combination is certainly an exciting and dynamic pair. Both can be used as a car for everyday life, but their differences mean you are well covered for business trips, holidays or even just taking your Porsche out for a spin for the enjoyment of having it!
