In 1974, the original 911 Turbo (930) proved that even the dream of a 911 could be taken even further – with a stunning combination of outstanding performance, confident elegance, and pure emotion. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Porsche has released a new limited-edition model combining many of the historical design references with present day performance capabilities – introducing the new 911 Turbo 50 Years edition.
This series is limited to just 1,974 units being manufactured globally. All of the design elements that have gone into the 911 Turbo 50 Years have been created to perfectly embody the best 50 Years of the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Interior and exterior design
Special features of the anniversary model include notable enhancements such as an optional Heritage Design package which combines nostalgic flair with high-quality comfort. The colour basis for the Heritage Design package is the ‘Aventurine Green’ metallic paint finish. Other highlights include the historic Porsche Crest, which is based on the first Crest on a 911 (901) from 1963, as well as the iconic Sport Classic Wheels, painted in Brilliant Silver or White –again finished with the historic Porsche Crest.
The Heritage Design Package also features lettering and decorative graphics, such as the lettering on the rear of the car being finished in Gold and the white graphics on the sides in White with “turbo 50” and “PORSCHE” lettering. You can also select your individual starting number graphic – perhaps you might choose ‘74’ as nod to the Turbo’s anniversary, or another number with personal significance to you.
This Heritage Design package is exclusively available for the 911 Turbo 50 Years model making it that much more special.
The standard interior is refined by styling elements reflecting the 1974 design style. You will also be able to spot the personal limited-edition number which can be found on the passenger side panel, along with the Black leather interior with ‘Mackenzie’ tartan (also known internally as “Ferry”) , highlighting the timeless character of the 911 with reinterpreted design elements from that time.
On first glance, the exterior will catch your eye with its decorative Turbo graphics and staggered 20-/21-inch 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design Wheels in ‘Turbonite’, reserved only for Porsche Turbo models. Celebrating the historical heritage of the 911 Turbo 50 Years, the ‘GT Silver’ Metallic paintwork and various ‘Anthracite Grey’ accents on the exterior integrate to showcase and enhance the special memories of the 911 Turbos that have come before.
