The Lovett Foundation is a charitable cause which supports children in care and young adults leaving care across the South West and Wales, giving them assistance, life skills and experiences which will contribute to a brighter future.
The Lovett Foundation works with local councils and charities that support care leavers and children in care. Through our relationships with the councils, we are able to ascertain the best ways to support our local community by donating time, goods or funds.
We have already helped to deliver food, essential items, and life experiences through the councils and other charities that we work with, and hope to grow our support and offerings over the coming years. We provide new home starter packages to care leavers so that they have a helping hand and essential items as they start out on their own in their first homes.
We are focussed on supporting young people in the transition from leaving foster care and education into independent living and gaining key skills to enter the job market. As well as donating physical items, we are working with charity groups to be able to offer work-related skills to young people who would benefit from help with CV writing, work experience or interview skills.
We are working to develop a programme of home life skills to ensure that care leavers across the South West and Wales also get off to a great start when in their first home, by teaching skills such as cooking, budgeting and shopping.
The Lovett Foundation is the official charity of Dick Lovett. When fundraising in-house, all of our dealerships across the South West will do so on behalf of the Lovett Foundation as Dick Lovett’s chosen charity. We do take part in other national fund-raising campaigns and support our staff when they undertake individual charity endeavours.
