Our Bristol site is expanding
Dick Lovett has a proud history and an exciting future. On our Bristol site, work has already begun on new buildings which will improve the staff and customer experience of the fantastic brands that we represent. Both our Porsche and BMW dealerships in Bristol need to expand due to increasing customer demand, and we are excited to begin the changes around the campus.
The history of Dick Lovett in Bristol
In 1997, Dick Lovett bought the land at Cribbs Causeway with a view to developing the site with multiple brands in one location.
Our Bristol dealerships had previously been located in central Bristol, and the Group needed more room to expand the ever-growing business. Between 1997 and 2012, the Bristol campus became home to the BMW, MINI, Porsche, and BMW Motorrad brands. The Dick Lovett Bodyshop was then built to ensure we could offer accident-repair and cosmetic services to all of our brands on site. The most recent addition to our Bristol location was the Aston Martin dealership, which opened in 2016.
Dick Lovett has always ensured that their Central Operations teams have a suitable facility to work in, so in 2019 the Group were thrilled to finish the renovation of ‘The Farmhouse’ to accommodate our IT, Corporate, Marketing, and Bookings teams. The building was the original Farmhouse which stood on the ground of the Bristol campus when it was purchased in 1997, and has been beautifully renovated into modern offices, while still keeping the history of the site alive.
The journey continues
If you have joined us onsite at our Bristol campus recently, you will notice the building work has already begun. We are hoping to minimise disruption to our customers as much as possible during this period of change.
The first of the big changes to the layout of the site includes the construction of a purpose-built Service Centre, which will be an additional facility that all of our brands are able to utilise over various periods in the near future. Both Porsche and BMW will be utilising the space when their dealerships are expanded in the near future.
Not only will this purpose-built facility alleviate some of the pressure on our Porsche and BMW dealerships whilst they undergo redevelopment, but it will also create new job opportunities in Bristol.

What will Dick Lovett Bristol look like in the future?
Our Sustainability team is constantly looking for ways to improve the future of Dick Lovett and have already installed Solar Panels on our BMW Bristol building. The new Service Centre will be the fourth building across Dick Lovett to have a solar PV system, which will help us to reduce and limit our consumption of electricity to decrease our total emissions. We will also be committing to installing additional electric vehicle charging points as part of the Bristol campus developments, which will help in reducing transport fuel and CO2 emissions, which is at the core of our environmental vision.
The one thing that will never change at Dick Lovett is our ethos of “customer satisfaction through staff satisfaction”. As we develop and grow, we are committed to ensuring our teams are well looked after and can thrive in their working environment.
