This year has been very difficult for a lot of people in many different ways, and one area where we could help to make a difference is Food Poverty in Children.
Throughout this year, The Lovett Foundation has continued to help Care Leavers and families in need. As we enter the winter months, we wanted to help those most in need in our local communities. In the UK, it has been estimated that 6 x food parcels will be handed out every minute this winter.
Therefore, we decided to specifically support local Food Banks, and our fabulous teams across all of our dealerships donated 000’s of non-perishable food items, which our Lovett Foundation volunteers delivered to Food Banks across the South West and South Wales in time for Christmas.
Our Swindon dealerships alone collectively donated over half-a-tonne of items to the Swindon Food Collective – which one of our volunteers worked out to be about the same weight as an adult camel (with 1 hump) – a handy piece of trivia for any Christmas quizzes you may be having this festive season!
We are incredibly grateful to all of our staff for their generosity in supporting this worthy cause at this time of year, and we hope it goes some way to helping ensure that no child in our local communities goes hungry this Christmas.

The Lovett Foundation is the official charity of Dick Lovett.
It was created to support children who are in or are leaving foster care in our local communities. Our aim is to provide valuable funding and support to our local councils and charitable organisations to better these children's experiences and opportunities.
