We start our Lovett Stories journey with one of our own. George Matthews has been a Sales Executive at Aston Martin Bristol since its opening, and anyone who knows George will know that he lives and breathes all things Aston Martin, more specifically the DB5.
He vows to own a DB5 just like this one someday soon.
When one thinks of an Aston Martin, usually the swept profile and instantly recognisable grille of a DB5 is the first image to mind – signatures kept throughout their design language up to the present day. The DB5 is the epitome of all the classic Aston Martin cliché’s – its iconic, its effortlessly classy, its revered, its Bond.
The DB5 is spellbound by it’s on screen presence, demonstrated perfectly when I saw “Skyfall” in the cinema and the moment that Daniel Craig opens that garage door to reveal the DB5 sat there to Judie Dench, the entire audience gasped with a short intake of breath, that is exactly what makes this car so special, the emotion and passion it brings out in other people.
One day, if my Euromillions kick in, I can see myself driving into the sunset across the hills above Monaco and couldn’t think of a more perfect motor to complete that fantasy!
Until then… at least I get to admire her as she gracefully welcomes visitors to Aston Martin Bristol, parked by our reception desk awaiting its lucky new owner.
- George Matthews, Aston Martin Sales Executive
I think we can all agree, the Aston Martin DB5 is truly one of the most evocative and important British cars in motoring history, and if George's story has got you emptying your piggy banks and reaching down the side of the sofa, we are delighted to offer a Silver Birch DB5 in our Bristol showroom.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you'd like to find out more about this incredible example.
