About MINI Electric Cars

Approved Used MINI Electric Image 1

The MINI Electric has transformed the way we drive. With no engine, it generates pure electric power and delivers instant acceleration, twisty handling and loads of fun. It’s the MINI you love, but with zero emissions.

The MINI Electric was launched in 2020. It was the brand’s very first all-electric model, an electrified version of the three-door MINI Hatch, and is available in three different levels – simply titled 1, 2 and 3. Known outside the UK as the MINI Cooper SE, the MINI Electric has become the brand’s most popular model as more drivers embrace electrified driving. The MINI Electric had a facelift in 2021.

Find your perfect used MINI Electric with Dick Lovett. Explore the latest offers on approved used electric MINI models by searching our full range online, or calling into any of our four official MINI dealerships. We’re located in Bristol, Hungerford, Melksham (near Bath) and Swindon.

All used MINI Electric models are sold with a minimum 12-month warranty, and a battery warranty that covers the first eight years since registration.

Why buy a Used MINI Electric Car?

The genuine MINI driving experience, electrified. A used MINI Electric delivers 100% of the joy and fun the brand is famous for, exclusively powered by a battery and motor.

Put your foot down, and acceleration is instant. The MINI Electric hits 0-62mph in just 7.3 seconds, so it’s quick. Top speed is 93mph, so it’s equally comfortable cruising on the motorway as well as driving around the city. Sharp, responsive handling and agile steering are highlights of on-road performance.

Used MINI Electric models are fitted with four different driving modes. Switch between Green, Green +, Mid and Sport depending on your route, and whether you want to maximise your range, or maximise performance.

For a compact car, battery range in a used MINI Electric is sound, at up to 145 miles – that’s enough for most daily driving trips and anything short of lengthy journeys. The battery can recharge while you’re driving, too, using regenerative braking.

When a full charge is needed, you have a range of options. Using a rapid charging point with 50kW capacity, you can charge up to 80% in little over 30 minutes, while a 7kW wallbox – which you can have fitted at home – takes around four hours. Slower charging points take longer, but means your used MINI Electric can be powered up overnight, ready to go again the next day.

Sit inside a MINI Electric used model, and you’ll be impressed by the look and feel of the interior; it’s a high end, retro design. Selected used models have leather seating – depending on the trim level and whether it was added as an option – making for supreme driver and passenger comfort.

Tips & Advice for Buying a Used MINI Electric Car

If you’re about to buy a MINI Electric, prepare to be impressed. Before you make your final buying decision though, it’s worth understanding the different trim levels available. In the used MINI market, you’ll see Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 trim levels – what do they mean, and how are they different?

It’s simple. MINI has ranked its three model variants by 1 to 3, with Level 1 the entry level MINI Electric and Level 3 the top of the range. A MINI Electric Level 1 model is usually priced lower as it comes with fewer features as standard than Level 2 and 3, though it’s still well equipped as a base model.

MINI Electric Level 1 models come with a series of excellent features, including automatic air conditioning, a sports leather steering wheel, LED headlights and the MINI Navigation Pack.

MINI Electric Level 2 models have all of Level 1’s standard features, and adds the interior lighting pack, Rear Park Distance Control, a rear view reversing camera, heated front seats and either cloth or leatherette upholstery. There is a wider choice of bodywork paint colours and wheel styles and sizes, too.

The range-topping MINI Electric Level 3 adds even more appealing features. Used MINI Electric Level 3 models are fitted with sports seats, adaptive LED headlights, Navigation Plus pack, leather upholstery and Front Park Distance Control. It also has the excellent Harman Kardon sound system and a panoramic glass sunroof.

Level 3 used electric MINI cars also have five different wheel design options, and six colour options, so if you want to stand out from the crowd just a bit more, you’ll have greater variety here.

MINI has also released a special edition Electric. The Resolute is designed in striking Rebel Green, with a Pepper White roof and mirror caps. It was launched in 2022, so may be available among newer used MINI Electric cars for sale.

Look out too for additional packs that might be included on used MINI Electric models. These could have been added when the car was new, and provide extra features and systems that enhance the MINI Electric driving and ownership experience. Options include the MINI Comfort Pack (heated front seats, rear park distance control), MINI Comfort Park (parking assistant, rear view camera) and MINI Navigation Plus Pack (digital display cockpit, head-up display, enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging).

If you have any questions about optional packs or the model trim levels, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Dick Lovett MINI; our team of experts will be happy to help.
