Launched just last night (14/02/23), the MINI Electric Convertible will be produced in a limited run of 999 units, with just 150 of these models destined for the UK market.
MINI claims this special edition model is the ‘world's first locally emission-free premium convertible in the small car segment’. Powered by a compact 184 hp electric motor, the MINI Electric convertible is able to deliver 0-62mph in just 8.2 seconds, while supporting a 124-mile range*, perfect for a leisurely coastal drive in the sunshine.
The new model maintains its 160-litre boot space, with its overall dimensions unaffected by the change to electric power.
Available from April 2023 and priced at £52,500 OTR, the new MINI Electric Convertible will be offered with a fixed specification and two exterior paint choices for customers; Enigmatic Black or White Silver.
Unique to this limited edition is 17” Electric Power Spoke 2-tone alloy wheels, with Resolute Bronze finishes on the door handles, side scuttles, and front and rear light surrounds. In traditional MINI style, edition-specific details are also found on the side scuttles and door sill trims, featuring consecutive numbering for each of the model units available.
Inside, MINI Yours sports seats in Leather Lounge design feature seat heating, while the multifunctional sports steering wheel is also heated and features the MINI Electric logo. Ambient lighting and signature MINI Electric yellow colour accents, such as the start-stop toggle switch, complete the interior design.
eDrive services complement the interior design, providing the driver with current energy consumption, range, and tips for economical driving, all displayed on the MINI Head-Up Display.
