Introducing the newest Special Edition MINIs - The Clubman and Countryman Shadow Edition.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Shadow Edition is the exterior colour combination of Midnight Black Paint and Melting Silver Roof and Mirror Caps. 

The trim-level is based on the MINI Sport model (you can read about the models here), but the Shadow Edition includes 19-inch alloy wheels, black metallic paint and LED headlights. Combined with this, the Shadow Edition includes the John Cooper Works styling pack, which adds a larger rear spoiler and more aggressive bumpers.

The Clubman and Countryman Shadow Edition both come with special Shadow Edition badges and the Countryman also comes with black roof rails as standard. Black roof rails can be added to the Clubman Shadow Edition too, but as an optional extra.

Step inside the Countryman and Clubman Show Edition models and you will see comfortable sports seats and anthracite headlining. The piano black dashboard trim adds to the Shadow Edition feel and the John Cooper Works sports steering wheel adds that sporty vibe.

Both the Countryman and Clubman Shadow Edition both come with an 8.8-inch infotainment screen. Both models have the MINI Excitement Pack which includes customisable ambient lighting and the puddle lighting.

In addition to this, you also get rear parking sensors and real time traffic information for the navigation system. The Clubman and Countryman Shadow Editions also come with a range of option packs, such as the Comfort Pack, which adds automatic air conditioning, heated seats, a front centre armrest and branded floor mats.


While the Navigation Plus Pack adds extra technology, including a head-up display, a wireless smartphone charger, bluetooth connectivity and some extra connected services such as Amazon Alexa. You can read more about MINI Specification Packs here.

If you’re looking for a Special Edition MINI Cooper, these cars feature a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol model, with 134bhp and 220Nm of torque. The engine is available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox.

If you’re wanting to step into the Plug-in Hybrid world, then the Countryman Shadow Edition is also available as a PHEV model.

For a more sporty model, you will want to pick the Cooper S models which have a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, with 176bhp. Combine this with the six-speed manual gearbox and you can achieve a 0–62mph time of 7.5 seconds in the Countryman Shadow Edition and 7.3 seconds in the Clubman Shadow Edition.
