Dick Lovett MINI in Bristol, Swindon, Melksham and Hungerford is sponsoring 13 tenacious women who have all been affected by breast cancer in some way on their epic charity fundraising MINI adventure – the BRAvo Rally from Kernow to Kefalonia.
The rally is the idea of Liz Rogers and her daughter Georgie who will be joined by fellow MINI drivers to travel 2,000 miles over six days from Kernow – the Cornish language word for ‘Cornwall’ – to Kefalonia in Greece.
Dick Lovett MINI will be supporting by professionally wrapping Liz’s car to promote the charity fundraising drive. Lauren Dark, Dick Lovett’s Group Marketing Executive, and Lucy Hawkins, Dick Lovett’s Digital Marketing Manager, will be joining the group on part of the UK-leg of their grand tour.

The rally drivers will not go empty-handed – they will be taking medical supplies and comfort packs with them to help those affected by breast cancer in Kefalonia, where Liz runs a holiday property rental business.
They are also hoping to raise awareness and offer expert support as they will be joined by Sarah Zee, the clinical lead specialist nurse for the Mermaid Centre.
Liz had been making a return visit to her home in Cornwall for a routine mammogram when she was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Surgery and radiotherapy followed and Liz is now on the road to recovery.
Dick Lovett is proud to be supporting Liz and her friends by helping to promote their fundraising rally.
Liz wanted to do something positive to help the Mermaid Centre where she was treated and other women that have or will be affected by breast cancer in the future.
Both Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and Kefalonia have many similarities given that they only have one hospital that comes under pressure in the summer months, with some patients having to travel to mainland for treatment, both on the Isles of Scilly and in Kefalonia.
I am going to drive with them from Cornwall and through the UK until they get on the Channel Tunnel to begin their journey through Europe. Dick Lovett will also wrapping Liz’s MINI to promote the charity fundraising campaign.

Liz and Georgie will be joined by friends from Cornwall, Plymouth, Pembrokeshire and Kent for the BRAvo Rally.
The team will be leaving Kernow on 18 May next year, driving through Europe and arriving in Kefalonia, Greece, on 23 May.
Age, culture and geographical location are no exceptions for breast cancer and self-awareness and early diagnosis is the key to battling this disease.
Once we arrive in Kefalonia, we hope to continue to raise awareness and funds and to help and support people affected by this disease. Our aim is to be able to connect ladies - and some men - in rural communities and isolated areas, have fun and build friendships while raising awareness of the disease.
