MINI Countryman

The MINI Countryman might be the SUV and the biggest MINI in the range, but here we share here 7 things we bet you didn’t know..

1. The first MINI Countryman model was launched in 2011 and is referred to as the R60 model with its predecessor arriving in 2016 and being referred to as the F60 model

2. The first generation R60 Countryman models are available with 7 different engine options, whilst the second generation F60 Countryman models are available with 8 and these include the:

  • One (and One D)
  • Cooper (and Cooper D)
  • Cooper S
  • Cooper SD
  • John Cooper Works
  • Plug In-Hybrid (second generation only)

The Cooper, Cooper S and Cooper SD models are also available as ‘ALL4’ MINIs four-wheel drive system

3. The second generation MINI Countryman is available with a picnic bench in the boot as an additional extra - perfect for getting outdoors.

4. Now this is a really neat feature on both generation Countrymans. If you hate a hot sweaty car in summer all you need to do is hold the unlock button - all the windows will open, if the car has a sunroof that will open too, and if you have electric folding mirrors then they unfold too.

5. On second generation MINI Countryman models that were built from 2018 onwards, offer puddle projector lights as standard. When you unlock your MINI Countryman at night time, a MINI projection shines on the floor from the drivers wing mirror

6. If your MINI Countryman has Apple Car Play you can set this up so your text messages are read out to you whilst you drive - how awesome is that!
