All New Land Rover Discovery

2021 will see Land Rover launch their very first hybrid Discovery as part of a mid-cycle refresh to this iconic SUV. Alongside this economic new option the Discovery itself will also receive numerous subtle styling changes and technological upgrades.

On the outside

Whilst the designers at Land Rover have made minimal updates to the exterior of the Discovery, their subtle tweaks have only enhanced this 4x4’s good looks.

Discovery Grille

A revised front grille and bumper takes centre stage, with newly designed side strakes and a body-coloured insert. Updated LED headlights form a jewel like design and an enhanced new set of alloy wheels are offered ranging from 19-22inch.

Step in to luxury

Inside the cabin is where Land Rover have really stepped things up a gear. In line with the rest of the range, the all-new Discovery now features Pivo Pro, Land Rovers most advanced infotainment system. The star of the show is an 11.4inch screen which seemingly integrates itself to the centre console. This new screen is 48% bigger than the Discovery’s predecessor and 3 x brighter.

Discovery Interior
Technology wise the Discovery takes inspiration from the all new Defender, with 360 degree cameras and Clearsight Ground View. There is a new wearable Activity Key and wireless phone charging. As well as additions like Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto.

Comfort has been enhanced with the redesign of the second-row seats, these now have contoured bases and there is a new-look steering wheel to compliment this improved cabin nicely.

Under the bonnet

Engine wise, Land Rover has introduced an entire new line up, some of which are complemented by 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance. Every new Discovery comes in four-wheel drive and has an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Petrol wise the new Discovery will see a P300, 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, as well as the P360, a 3.0-litre straight six with 355bhp. Whilst the diesel range sees two versions of a 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild hybrid engine the latter with 479lb ft of torque.
