Range Rover Sport Plug-in Hybrid

Range Rover Sport Hybrid

The Range Rover Sport extended range plug-in electric hybrid has been hailed as the brand’s ‘most dynamic’ model, and there’s certainly a lot to admire here.

From its redesigned sporty and muscular body, to its luxurious interior features enhanced with innovative in-car technology systems, the Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid delivers high-class on-road performance combined with plug-in hybrid capability.

Key features include fresh new front and rear bumpers, which dynamically flow into the bodywork to accentuate the rounded appearance at both ends of the car.

The interior is supremely comfortable and impressively functional, subtly illuminated by Ambient Interior Lighting. Infotainment and entertainment is managed by the Touch Pro Duo system, which connects to your smartphone and other devices to keep you on track in terms of navigation, and in touch if anyone needs to reach you en route.

The optional Technology Pack can be added which includes a stunning Head-up Display and a ClearSight interior rear view mirror, ideal for family journeys.

The P460e 3.0-litre petrol engine is available with the SE, Dynamic SE, and Autobiography variants. The Range Rover Sport P460e delivers 460hp and achieves acceleration of 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds.

With a maximum speed of 140mph, the Sport is not short of performance - but that performance does go hand-in-hand with increased efficiency, with the P460e capable of travelling up to 70 miles in all-electric mode. That’s more than enough to cover the vast majority of people's daily commutes - and all whilst emitting zero tailpipe emissions. The good news doesn’t end there either, with WLTP fuel consumption of up to 336.8 mpg.

As an alternative to plug-in hybrid models, petrol and diesel mild hybrid (MHEV) engines are also available within the Range Rover Sport range. MHEV engines work by harvesting energy saved during deceleration, saving it to the battery, and regenerating it when it’s time to accelerate again.

With this, performance is slightly different in comparison to a plug-in hybrid model. The D300 3.0-litre diesel engine achieves 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds, whilst the D350 can accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds, with the mild hybrid system helping this engine to produce 350HP. All MHEV models are available to customise to your very own specification.

Charging your Range Rover Sport PHEV is a simple process, with options to do so from home and from a multitude of public charging points.

Charging from home allows you to recharge your Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid when you’re done for the day, and it’ll be ready to go when you need it the next morning. Using AC charging from home, the Range Rover Sport can be fully charged, from 0 to 100%, in as little as five hours.

If you don’t already have a home charging facility, you can get one installed. Wall boxes and home charging points can be fitted near your property – close to the driveway or incorporated into your garage is usually best.

You can also charge from any public charging point. These are primarily located at fuel stations, motorway service stations, retail and public car parks. As electric and plug-in hybrid cars grow, more will be added in the coming years, making it even easier to charge on the go. Some public charging points also use rapid DC charging, which is considerably faster than AC charging.
