Frequently Asked Questions

Q Are MINIs good in the snow?

A

We are fortunate in the UK, particularly in the south of England, to experience relatively mild winters. Nevertheless, when it does snow, everything seems to grind to a halt.

You might imagine that you would need a big heavy car to cope when the white stuff hits the road, but with its low center of gravity and short wheelbase, the MINI range is generally pretty good in snow and ice. It’s not going to cope as well as a purpose-built off-road vehicle, but with good torque at low revs, you will find it much easier to get out of difficulty than with some larger cars.
