Employee Well-being
Community
Our commitment to sustainability is an ongoing journey and by investing in these areas, we aim to create a positive impact on the environment and society, while delivering long-term value to our employees and customers.
Areas of focus
Environmental Sustainability
In 2022, we established a dedicated Sustainability Team whose main responsibilities include developing the Group's environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with environmental reporting standards, and implementing sustainability initiatives.
By focusing on educating our employees, fostering a strong commitment to change, and making efficient use of resources, we are dedicated to lowering our emissions and continually improving our operations.

A commitment we take P.R.I.D.E. in
Peter Lovett, Chairman of Dick Lovett coined the phrase ‘Personal Role in Delivering Excellence’ which is the foundation our culture is built on.
This doesn’t just refer to our customers, this phrase is pivotal to life at Dick Lovett. By ensuring everyone takes responsibility for themselves and others, we are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all.
Going above and beyond to ensure we are delivering excellence, both to fellow team mates and customers, is essential during our recruitment process and throughout employees’ careers at Dick Lovett. By delivering on our promise of customer satisfaction through staff satisfaction, we have built a team of individuals who are appreciated for their performance.
We apply Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles to all aspects of employment. We have robust and fair recruitment selection processes in place to find our next shining stars, and an experienced Training team to support personal and professional growth.

Community Engagement
We believe that being a responsible and active member of our community is an essential part of our business, and are therefore committed to supporting local charities by volunteering our time, resources, and engaging in activities that benefit the wider community.
To further our commitment, we established ‘The Lovett Foundation’ – a charitable cause dedicated to supporting children in care and young adults leaving care across the South West and Wales. Through The Lovett Foundation, we aim to provide these individuals with the assistance, life skills, and experiences they need to contribute to a brighter future.
Working in partnership with local councils and charities that support care leavers and children in care, we are able to identify the most effective ways to support our local community, whether it's through donating our time, goods, or funds.
Dick Lovett is committed to only working with suppliers and organisations who share our values and meet our high standards for ethical and sustainable practices.
We require all of our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, such as the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking and regularly perform risk assessments to identify areas of potential risk relating to Modern Slavery.
