Our Administrators across the Group ensure that each business is functioning effectively behind the scenes. While most administration roles are not customer-facing, the Administration team plays an integral part in the customers’ journey.
Key responsibilities
Administration roles within Dick Lovett are as varied as they are valuable, working across a number of different departments including Sales, Service, Bodyshop and Personnel to name just a few. Depending on which department you join as an Administrator, your duties will vary, but responsibilities in Administrative jobs include:
Using various systems to process information
Communicating with the team
Keeping to deadlines and timescales
Vehicle taxing and invoicing for the Sales team
Ordering stock and customer vehicles for the Sales team
Organising the workload for the Service and Workshop teams
Customer or Employee paperwork for all departments

Our Administration department can be a fantastic springboard for an exciting automotive career. This department will give you a comprehensive view of how the automotive industry works and will open up opportunities for progression.
After mastering the administrative process, we have team members who have gone on to work in Sales or Service and then developed their careers even further from there. There is also opportunity to move between brands and locations and explore different types of administration roles with Dick Lovett.
As a Trainee Administrator, as long as you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we can teach you the rest! In this role, you would be learning from an experienced Administrator to acquire the skills and knowledge to carry out the Administrator role alone in the future.
You would be starting off with learning the systems, timescales to work to, and getting to know your teammates and how you can support them, and therefore our customers.
Our Sales Administration Teams are the backbone of our Sales Departments. These unsung heroes are constantly working to deadlines (especially at month-end) to ensure our customers receive their new vehicles on time.
From ordering stock vehicles and taxing, to invoicing and checking all paperwork is ready in the customer file, our talented Sales Administrators play a crucial role in helping us to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Working within the Administration function of our fast-paced Corporate Sales Department requires a multitude of skills, as the job is incredibly varied.
Acting as the conduit between the dealership and the end user, they are responsible for arranging test drives, processing vehicle orders, updating customers on the progress of their order, checking cars into stock on arrival, as well as arranging customer deliveries.
A keen eye for detail is essential for anyone wishing to work within the Administration function of our busy Service Departments.
These dependable individuals are responsible for completing and invoicing vehicle repair orders with accurate costs so that our Service Advisors have the correct information for customer work.
They also complete our warranty invoicing and submit all claims to our Manufacturer partners, as well as updating the database on customer service files on a daily basis.
As well as supporting the Bodyshop with accurate and timely administration, our Bodyshop Administrators also fulfil the role of Receptionist ensuring all customers receive the highest possible standard of service.
As well as preparing and completing final invoicing of repairs in a timely fashion, our Administrators also load the Bodyshop as instructed using the customer appointments system and assist the Bodyshop Manager with the administration of franchise standards requirements and audits.
Our Personnel Administrators are the first line of contact for all members of staff and anyone externally enquiring about careers at Dick Lovett. Therefore a warm, friendly, and engaging personality coupled with great communication skills is key for this role.
As well as supporting the recruitment process for the Group, our Administrators will compose various staff communications and assist with the preparation of payroll.
