Sales Executive
Porsche Centre Swindon
I started as a part time Genius for BMW and MINI in Bristol and loved it so much I wanted to pursue it to be a full-time job. After a few months training, I moved from BMW Bristol down to MINI Hungerford to help the very small team there.
I progressed to a Trainee Sales Executive and then a few months after that, became a fully-fledged sales executive for MINI. I became one of, if not the youngest people to pass through the Sales accreditation for MINI UK when I was 18.
I remained at MINI Hungerford for nearly 7 years before moving to Porsche Centre Swindon in November 2022. I had always wanted to work in Porsche Centre Swindon for several reasons, the site is fantastic, and Porsche is a very strong brand that I have a huge passion for and always have done.
While learning a new brand and the intricacies of the specs you can choose from has been a challenge, working with a brand I have always wanted to work with and seeing the excitement customers have when collecting their car is my favourite thing about the job.
My current role involves dealing with customers to assist them through the sales process from the initial enquiry right through to finding the perfect Porsche, closing the sale, and then handing the car over. Keeping in contact with the customer is important and something I do at regular intervals even once they have collected the car.
I am one of 6 Sales Executives within the team, we work closely with the managers in the team to assist with valuing cars and getting finance quotes for example. The team vary in age and experience which created a nice dynamic whilst having a lot of fun at the same time.
At Dick Lovett, you feel valued by the group and a lot more than just another employee, this is shown when you get little things like birthday cards and generous vouchers throughout the year.
In the future, I am looking forward to building strong relationships with customers to gain more repeat business, and the future progression possible within Dick Lovett.
