The Learning and Development Team

The Learning and Development Team

At Dick Lovett, we want to ensure our team are fulfilled in their roles and have opportunities to develop and progress throughout their careers with us.

We have a proud history of putting people first, so with the appointment of Lucy as Head of People, we plan to utilise her experience to take our teams to the next level.

We have a fantastic range of brands, growth on the horizon, and a wealth of experience to ensure we can continue to evolve in every way possible. Zoe and Jason have first-hand experience at Dick Lovett of progression in their respective fields, which means the team will provide training backed by experience and knowledge.

By creating something special with ‘how we do it here’ and investing in our people, we hope to deliver 'customer satisfaction through staff satisfaction'.

What happens when you join Dick Lovett?

On their first day with the business, our new starters undergo a full Dick Lovett induction with the Personnel Team. They have the opportunity to learn about the company, the part they will play in its success, and ask as many questions as they would like!

After completing a tailor-made programme of training on day one, our new starters arrive at the dealerships on their second day hopefully feeling welcomed, informed, and excited to start their new career with us.

After two years with the business, we invite all our newest team members back to our head office for a session that we call P.R.I.D.E. At this “second induction” we cover our 'Personal Role in Delivering Excellence' in more detail. Attendees get the opportunity to meet our Directors over lunch; not many businesses can say that you really do get an opportunity to talk to the most senior people in the business, whereby you really can make a difference in the way we do things.
