BMW's HP4 is here and already attracting plenty of attention across the industry. This combination of extreme lightness, impressive power and first-class handling has created what is known as HP – High Performance.

From front to back, it is clear that this is a unique bike with unrivalled road presence. The tinted windshield shelters you from the weather while also forming the transparent centre of the HP4's nose. Edged by blue stripes merging into one line on the front mudguard, this bike has a definitive sense of purpose. Asymmetric lights add a quirky and contemporary touch, while the gills down each side give the bike the look of a powerful predator, while emphasising the bike's lightweight credentials at just 199kg fully fuelled and unladen. Available in an elegant and contemporary Light White finish accented with blue, the HP4 offers exclusive style too. Featuring a forward-sloping ergonomic seat and a tail section that curves up to provide lower back support, the HP4 also provides supreme comfort.

If racetrack performance alone is not sufficient, take a look at the HP4 Carbon Edition. Featuring exclusive HP components such as the clutch lever, footrest system for enhanced comfort, and brake lever, the HP4 Carbon is the ultimate HP4 bike. Equipped too with a carbon fuel tank trim, the HP4 Carbon is a super-lightweight machine with an original design, including a unique fork bridge engraving.

The HP4 propels you with a breathtaking 193bhp and 112Nm of torque, ensuring you will never be short of power on the racetrack. The bike has a dual water and oil-cooled four-cylinder four-stroke in-line engine. With four titanium valves per cylinder, BMW has incorporated the very best of its engineering into this unit. The mechanically-operated anti-hopping clutch in an oil bath controls the constant mesh six-speed gearbox and its straight teeth for simply the best gear changes as you accelerate.

Race ABS and the world's first dynamic suspension system, DDC, are included as standard on all HP4 models to help you maintain stability on the road. This technology automatically adapts damping to the prevailing riding conditions. You can control these systems via a selection of Rain and Sport modes for country roads, and Race and Slick modes for the racetrack.

Due to the involved production process in creating the HP4, only a small number of bikes were built during the production period up to 2014. However, cherished used examples can be found in our showroom from time to time.
