The BMW 7 Series is a saloon that’s high on luxury and generously proportioned – even by BMW’s exceptional standards, it’s considered one of the brand’s flagship models. Comfort and refinement are key characteristics of this luxury model.

Unlike some other used BMW models, which come in a choice of body styles, the 7 Series is available only as a saloon – so there’s no buying choice to make there. There are other variations to consider though.

A used BMW 7 Series has two versions – standard and long wheelbase. The standard version is spacious enough, but if you want to gain that bit extra in the back, the long wheelbase model allows rear passengers to really stretch out.

Then, there’s a choice of engines, with the 740i and 750i petrol models and the 730d and 740d diesel cars. If fuel economy is one of your priorities, a diesel used BMW 7 Series is the better buy for you.

On top of that, there’s also a petrol hybrid version – the 745e. This has a combined fuel consumption of 128MPG, and drivers can switch to all-electric mode for shorter journeys.
