What Is The Motability Scheme? Dick Lovett Explains

Dick Lovett BMW is proud to support the Motability Scheme which enables people in receipt of certain Government payments to exchange part or all of their mobility allowance to cover the cost of leasing a new car.

Carers who help a disabled person who receives higher rate mobility allowance but who does not drive or is too young to drive can also join the scheme either as a named driver or as the person’s appointee or nominee.

Benefits To The Motability Scheme

There are scores of reasons to join the Motability scheme. For starters, you get a new BMW every three years with a 60,000 mileage allowance. You can choose between manual or automatic transmission and service and maintenance is included in the lease cost.

Road tax and full RAC breakdown is also included as is insurance for up to two named drivers so a family member, friend or carer can also drive your Dick Lovett BMW.

The Motability Scheme Covers Hatch, Saloons, SUVs and 4x4s

And the choice of vehicle doesn’t have to be restricted to an entry level hatch. The scheme covers three and five-door options, saloons, SUVs and 4-wheel drive options, as well as hatchbacks.

BMW’s top-of-the range M Class cars are also included if you fancy something a little more sporty and unique.

Both the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the BMW X1 are particularly popular on the scheme as they offer raised seats for easy access, lots of additional space and a flat-load boot for easy loading and unloading of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers.

The popular BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is available with an advanced payment from only £249. It’s perfect around town, boasting compact dimensions, functionality and practicality combined with dynamic design.
