The addition of an electric motor, to the already highly-capable 3.0-litre petrol engine, boosts performance and efficiency even further. Peak power is now 489 bhp and 700 Nm of torque - some serious figures indeed. An increased battery size boosts pure-electric range up to 67 miles, while the charging time is also reduced. All of this means that the X5 xDrive50e can achieve 0 - 62 mph in only 4.8 seconds, and has an increased driving range.

That’s not all, like other X5 models, exterior design updates as well as interior upgrades come as standard. The iDrive 8 operating system, new curved display and drive mode selector are the key changes on the inside. Meanwhile, the redesigned exterior provides a tasteful refresh but stays true to the X5 look.
