The New BMW i7

Introducing the brand new BMW i7, the first fully electric member of the 7 Series family.

This new electric saloon car from BMW is instantly recognisable to the eye with a stunning illuminated ‘iconic glow’ kidney grille. Driving pleasure has not been compromised, with a 101.7kWh lithium-ion battery that produces up to 544 bhp. State-of-the-art eDrive propulsion technology allows for a serene driving experience with zero local emissions.

The renowned BMW 7 Series ‘executive lounge’ interior creates a luxury environment that cannot be replicated. The curved head-up display with the BMW interaction bar are just a few selected technologies that enhance the driving experience in the new BMW i7. The interior has been crafted with the finest materials positioned in the most convenient position thanks to BMW’s extensive ergonomic insights.

The i7 differs from its petrol and hybrid counterparts with subtle styling differences paying respect to its electric profile. Blue features are present throughout, such as the ‘i’ EV logo on the front kidney grille.

The traditional long wheelbase design of the BMW 7 Series has been reimagined, with flowing lines and smooth side view contours which provide an aesthetic exterior worthy of complimenting the model’s luxury interior.

RANGE & PERFORMANCE

The powerful 5th Generation electric powertrain delivers a maximum range of between 367 and 388 miles.

The good news does not end there. Charging optimisation technology calculates the temperature of the battery accurately, as well as providing up-to-date information about charging points on the way to your destination. New adaptive brake technology also takes into account downhill slopes and traffic lights on your journey to allow for maximum regeneration of power when appropriate.

In terms of on-the-road performance, the new BMW i7 does not disappoint. The powerful electric motor produces up to 750 Nm of torque, helping the car to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds. Adaptive 2-axle air suspension is fitted as standard to ensure ride comfort is always considered, even when accelerating.

Driving assistance functions included are the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which has voice controls, while Parking Assistant, Active Park Distance Control and Reversing Assist Camera are also included as standard.

Interior features

The integrated Bower and Wilkins Diamond surround sound system creates an enthralling 4D audio experience, complimenting the optional 31.3-inch BMW Theatre Screen.

To provide an easy control method, BMW has placed integrated touch screens into the rear doors for ultimate ease and comfort. High quality 5.5-inch touchscreens allow passengers to control the infotainment system, climate control, seat settings and optional interior extras from the comfort of their seat.

The optional panoramic glass sunroof provides added brightness during the day and a calming aura at night with dynamic light effects. The LED threads embedded in the roof are individually adjustable, to allow passengers to craft the most pleasant atmosphere possible in a massive step forward for automotive interior ambient lighting. These interior highlights of the i7’s ambient lighting features allow for the perfect blend of luxury, power and comfort.
