Exterior detailing includes new-look front and rear aprons, and a one-piece kidney grille. LED headlights come as standard, with the option of adding BMW Laserlights, which provide a view of up to 650 metres. The rear of the BMW 5 Series Touring hybrid is styled with sculpted LED lights and twin exhaust tailpipes. A panoramic glass roof is optional.

There is plenty of storage capacity, with up to 560 litres of boot space. This can be increased up to 1,700 litres when the second row of seats are folded down.

In pure electric mode, driving range is up to 35 miles, with a top speed of 86mph. Engage the BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, and top speed climbs to 139mph, with rapid 0-62mph acceleration in 6.1 seconds.

Performance and experience is amplified by enhanced driver systems. Parking Assistant is a standard feature, with a rear view camera, Active Park Distance Control and Reversing Assistant. The optional Parking Assistant Plus adds Remote 3D View and a Driver Recorder function. Driving Assistant Professional is another optional upgrade, providing Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Active Cruise Control and more.

Charging

Charging the BMW 5 Series Touring Plug-in hybrid is simple, and stress-free, with a range of options. Charge at home, for the ultimate in convenience, or at any of the widely available public charging stations around the UK. Sign up to BMW Charging, and you’ll get access to an expansive network of charge points, so you never need to worry about running out of power.

Charging times vary, depending on the power source. Using a wallbox or public charging point can take 3.6 hours to charge from 0-100%, while a typical home charging point takes around 4.3 hours to charge to 80%, and six hours to 100%. Charging overnight, from home, is a popular option.

Your BMW 5 Series Touring hybrid comes with two types of charging cable – standard, and an AC Fast Charging Cable.
