Adaptive M Suspension

BMW Adaptive M Suspension allows you to adjust the ride of your BMW M5 Saloon to meet all of your driving needs. There are three different modes to choose from - comfort mode, sport mode and sport mode plus.

If you are looking for a more relaxed ride, then go for comfort mode which balances out the dampers on uneven roads. Vibrations are lessened for a smoother ride. If you’d rather opt for something a little more sporty, then select one of the two sports modes and the dampers are tightened for more athletic suspension.

M xDrive

The BMW M5 is the only car in the range with M xDrive, a system which combines the agility and precision of standard drive with the smoothness and traction of all-wheel drive for even more intense performance. M xDrive controls the torque distribution between the front and rear axle via a regulated clutch, engaging the front axle only when it senses that the back wheels have reached the absolute limit of their grip.
