2021 is proving to be an exciting year for Dick Lovett Motorrad with a number of new bikes arriving at the dealership such as the R 18 Classic and R 1250 RT. Another model range that has received important changes for 2021 are the R NineT models, which are now at Dick Lovett Motorrad Bristol and ready for you to experience.
The R NineTs classic roadster shape embodies the passion and innovation of over 90 years of BMW Motorrad and has always been a favourite amongst the motorcycling community.
The main changes to the R NineT range are not immediately obvious due to them being largely mechanical upgrades. To comply with Euro5 emissions standards, BMW Motorrad have redesigned the cylinder heads, which not only makes for cleaner, more efficient combustion but also improved mid-range torque.
Cosmetic changes, although small, make a noticeable difference to the overall look of the bike. Most distinctive is the new design standard LED headlight with horizontal day time running light. There is also new cylinder header covers, LED indicators, redesigned instrument dials and side air box cover.
Standard equipment is also improved on the new R Nine T range. All models now come with ‘rain’ and 'road’ riding modes, USB charging socket and ABS Pro with DBC (Dynamic Brake Control).
BMW Motorrad Accessories are available for all models, and they come into their own when fitted to any of the R NineT models. Choose from various luggage options, seat designs and Akrapovic exhausts. There’s even a number of HP carbon fibre options available for the entire R NineT range.
For those wanting even more exclusivity, there’s the Option 719 accessories range. A range of ultra-high-quality components milled from solid aluminium in a range of finishes. The Option 719 range also extends to paint finishes for the new R NineT, and it is these paint options that are the most significant change to the R NineT line up.
BMW R NineT - Pure Passion. Pure Riding. Pure Riding Pleasure.
The gold-anodised high-performance forks are fitted exclusively to the R NineT model. Not only do they complete the look of the bike but offer improved handling and control when out riding.
The new R NineT is available in four colour combinations; Storm Black Metallic, the most recognisable R NineT colour scheme. The new Option 719 Aluminium package strips the tank back to aluminium and adds a matching aluminium seat cowl, windscreen and front mudguard. If you’re looking to add a bit of colour, there’s the Option 719 Mineral White Metallic / Aurum and Option 719 Night Black Matt / Aluminium Matt.
BMW R NineT Pure - Puristic. Reduced. Air-cooled.
The Pure is the entry into the R NineT range, but still offers plenty to enjoy; most of all the iconic 1198cc Boxer Twin engine. The Pure can be optioned with the same Aluminium package as the R NineT. Base colour options include Mineral Grey Metallic and Teal Blue Metallic Matt.
There’s also two Option 719 colour combinations available on the Pure for those wanting a bike that really stands out! The Black Storm Metallic / Racing Red and Cosmic Blue Metallic / Light White colour options extend the colour change to the frame and front mudguard.
BMW R NineT Scrambler - Pure Spirit. Untamed. Heritage.
The R NineT Scrambler brings the legendary look and spirit of the Scrambler era and combines it with modern technology and refinement. It features a raised ride height, telescopic fork with rubber bellows and quilted leather seat.
The standard colour on the R NineT Scrambler is Granite Grey Metallic with dark red seat. The optional Kalamata Metallic Matt colour can also be found on the GS range and features tank graphics and a tan seat. The two Option 719 combinations on the R NineT Scrambler are the same as the ones found on the R NineT Pure mentioned above.
BMW R NineT Urban G/S - Adventurous. Iconic. Legendary.
The Urban G/S perfectly plays tribute to 1980 BMW Motorrad Dakar racers with its 19-inch front wheel, headlight cover and raised front mudguard.
The most eye catching colour schemes in the R NineT range can be found on the Urban G/S. The 40 Years GS pack is made up of Black Storm Metallic mixed with striking yellow details, inspired by the classic BMW R 100 GS. The Light White option is also reminiscent of past BMW Motorrad models; a similar colour scheme and livery design can be found on the original GS, the R 80. The Option 719 Black Storm Metallic / Racing Red colour scheme can also be applied to the Urban G/S.
