The new BMW S 1000 XR for sale

The new BMW S 1000 XR is a high-powered motorcycle with a straight-four-cylinder engine and a distinctly sporty bias.

Building on the tantalising and unique mix of innovative technology, performance and safety already inherent to the existing models in this series, the new BMW S 1000 XR offers a new blend dubbed “adventure sport".

This encompasses dynamic touring qualities, sporty performance and high levels of comfort as well as outstanding everyday usability.

The straight-four-cylinder engine in the new BMW S 1000 XR has an output of 165bhp at 11,000 rpm and generates maximum torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm.

This provides a punchy response at low and medium revs, coupled with tremendous pulling power and exhilarating acceleration. It’s just as adept at highly pleasurable touring with a passenger and luggage load as it is at sporty rides down winding country roads.

The new S 1000 XR weighs a full 10 kg less than its predecessors. In the lightest configuration, this bike is ready to ride at just 223 kg. Wheel suspension at the front and rear is handled by an adjustable upside-down fork and a double-sided swing arm with adjustable central spring strut respectively.

The new BMW S 1000 XR fuses the characters and strengths of the BMW Motorrad GS, Touring and Sport models to create a motorbike with flawless ergonomics, ingenious wind and weather protection and greater ground clearance.

TFT display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity

The new S 1000 XR comes as standard with BMW Motorrad’s industry leading 6.5” TFT display that replaces the instrument panel. BMW Motorrad Connectivity allows you to connect your smartphone, bike, and helmet all via Bluetooth.

Other features include Bluetooth navigation, allowing you to seamlessly plan your trips. When linked with the BMW Motorrad Connected app the TFT display will log all routes and journeys giving you digital memories from every tour.
