The DBX is a groundbreaking model for Aston Martin. It was the very first SUV made by the iconic brand in its 100-year plus history, and Aston Martin’s expert craftsmanship and design has been channelled into making it a luxury car. The result is a special model that’s proved to be immensely popular.
The Aston Martin DBX was launched in 2020, and marked a milestone for Aston Martin in more ways than one; it was the first model built in its new facility in St Athan, Wales.
The DBX707 was added to the line-up in 2022, offering an upgrade in power and performance.
At Aston Martin Bristol, we have a great choice of approved used Aston Martin DBX for sale. Many models have very low mileage and the latest equipment.

The DBX is Aston Martin’s first SUV, and the famous manufacturer has created a stunning car. This is a class-leading model that – unsurprisingly given Aston Martin’s heritage – drives like a sports car in the body of an SUV.
A mid-sized SUV, the DBX is very much pitched at the luxury end of the market, with a starting price to match. For that investment, owners get a high-end premium model with 4x4 capability, the space and practicality to satisfy the demands of family motoring, and superb handling quality. It’s fast, too – and that’s whether you choose the standard version or the 707.
The exterior is striking, typified by Aston Martin’s iconic front grille, which is the biggest ever featured on one of the brand’s vehicles. Smart design from Aston Martin has helped to make this SUV as sporty as possible, with concepts including the swan wing doors. These, also fitted on Aston Martin sports cars, open up and out.
The wheels are positioned as close to the corners of the wheelbase as possible, which gives the impression of a smaller, sportier car rather than a more traditional SUV.
It’s a joy to drive. The commanding driving position provides an excellent view of the road ahead, and the all-wheel drive system makes the DBX capable of thriving on different terrain and surfaces. Aston Martin has equipped the DBX with six drive modes – GT, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Terrain and Terrain+ – so it can handle just about any challenge.
The DBX drives like a sports car, with lots of raw power thanks to its big V8 4.0 litre engine and punchy acceleration. It’s a comfortable motorway cruiser and an agile performer on twisty roads.
*Key features of a used Aston Martin DBX could include:
The interior is beautiful – lots of leather styling, plush upholstery and a strong tech line-up, too. Used Aston Martin DBX models come with a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 10.25-inch multimedia screen, through which Apple CarPlay is available. And there are no less than four USB ports inside the cabin. The large panoramic roof means that the DBX receives lots of natural light.
Generous head and leg room delivers high levels of comfort for passengers, while the 632-litre boot is large enough to host several bags. Safety features as standard include adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
At Aston Martin Bristol, we have an excellent range of pre-owned and Approved Used Aston Martin DBX cars. The Aston Martin DBX is a relatively new vehicle – debuting in 2020 – so potential buyers won’t have to choose between models of different generations. In fact, it’s likely to come down to a choice between the DBX and the newer DBX707.
The DBX is fast; the 707 is faster still. Both versions are five-seater, four-wheel drive models fitted with a V8 4.0-litre engine. But, while the DBX delivers 542hp and a max torque of 700Nm, the DBX707 ups that to 697hp and a max torque of 900Nm.
That extra oomph means the DBX707 has a top speed of up to 193mph, and 0-60mph acceleration in just 3.1 seconds – spectacular. The standard DBX is only a fraction behind though; capable of 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds and with a possible top speed of 181mph.
There’s a difference in gearboxes, too. The DBX has a 9-speed automatic transmission. The DBX707 also has a 9-speed automatic gearbox, but with a wet clutch pack and something called Race Start launch control. This, when activated in the Sport or Sport+ driving mode, launches the car with an extra ‘boost’ – definitely one for those who like an additional adrenaline thrill when behind the wheel.
Inside, the DBX707 has a redesign of the centre console and 16-way adjustable sports seats.
Both versions come with an extensive range of spec features as standard, though there are options available. Make sure you ask a member of the team at Aston Martin Bristol for details of any options that might be included on the used DBX models you’re viewing. You could discover some useful extras on a particular model that assists your buying decision.
So, which used Aston Martin DBX is right for you? The standard model or the DBX707? The answer to that is perhaps whether you want super fast or super super fast, and how big your budget is; the 707 comes in anywhere between £40-£50k more expensive in the used market.
