Released in 1963, the original Aston Martin DB5 remains one of the most stunning-looking Aston Martins ever. Its classic shape still leaves you breathless and perhaps explains why a finding a DB5 amongst the used Aston Martin available to buy is rare.
The DB5 evolved from the final DB4 series and was designed by the noted Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. It shared many traits with the DB4, but there was a massive change under its bonnet. The interior of the DB5 reflects centuries of English craftsmanship in wood, chrome and exquisite leather and incredibly for a sports car, acres of legroom and headroom.
Of course, it was the gadget-heavy Silver Birch DB5 driven by James Bond in Goldfinger that truly caught the public's imagination and led to it being known as the “most famous car in the world”.
