Aston Martin Drawings

It has been a strange year for many of us and as the winter approaches we are having to be more creative than ever to keep ourselves entertained. Well fear not, the team at Aston Martin Bristol want to ensure you are making the most out of Lockdown 2.0, and so we have put together our very own ‘Aston Martin’ Lockdown Entertainment Guide.

It is packed full of things to do from the comfort of your own home and we have been sure to find something for all the family. Of course, a touch of Aston Martin can be found in every activity which, let's be honest, is what we have all been missing.

Things to do in Lockdown

1. Design your dream Aston Martin

Whether it has been your goal to own an Aston all your life, or you just have car crazy kids, this activity is a bit of fun for everyone. Download our Aston Martin template and bring your dream specification to life, or why not design your dream garage? Hey we have time! We might as well set the children some great aspirations from a young age and what better place to start that than with their ultimate car.

2. Join Love Cars for ‘On the Road’ TV

Great news, our friends at Love Cars have teamed up with ITV4 to bring you ‘On the Road’, a 6 part TV special. The series features over 50 different cars, driven in some of Europe’s most jaw-dropping landscapes and is hosted by TV personality Tiff Needell and YouTuber Paul Woodman. Rumour has it that even the DBX will be making an appearance, alongside a host of guests such as former Stig and James Bond stunt driver Ben Collins.

Join the guys every week at 20:00 on ITV4 or catch up on the ITVhub. It is going to be a packed show full of the stuff we all love!

3. Clean your pride and joy

Ok, so truth be told it might not be the most exciting activity we have come up with, but let's be honest during these winter months washing our car is something we all need to do and you will be spending your time with one of your most precious possessions. On a crisp sunny day, it is surprisingly rather satisfying.

The team at Dick Lovett have come up with some top tips and tricks to ensure you are cleaning your car correctly, so make sure to check this out.

For extra brownie points, why not volunteer to clean the whole family's fleet. You’ll be a professional in no time!

4. Build your very own DB5

Arguably the most iconic car of all time? The true Aston Martin fan will go crazy for this lego DB5 set. Designed for children and adults alike, this set has 1,295 pieces so is guaranteed to fill some time! Authentic and realistic, the Lego DB5 comes complete with ejector seat and front wing machine guns, which will transform the Bond lovers amongst us back to the original Goldfinger film.

If not for yourself, this set would make the ideal Christmas gift and for those of you that do complete it, be sure to send us the pictures! Tag @astonmartinbristol on social media.

5. Join our virtual Cylinder Club

It’s been too long since we got to see a selection of stunning cars, so for the second time this year Dick Lovett is super excited to announce Virtual Cylinder Club 2.0 – and you’re invited…

6. Enjoy a Bond Movie Marathon

James Bond Banner

It wouldn't be an Aston Martin guide without a bit of Bond! And what is better to fill those dark nights than a James Bond Movie Marathon. Aston Martin has featured in 7 of the current James Bond films: (Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye, a small appearance in Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre). So why not start back where it all began with the late Sir Sean Connery in Dr No.

Check out this great Bond guide to ensure you watch them in the correct order.

7. Pick up a copy of Vantage Magazine

Designed for Aston Martin fans Vantage Magazine is sure to bring you that automotive fix we have all been missing. As a quarterly publication if you have a passion for Aston’s you’ll love Vantage.

Devoted exclusively to the Aston Martin marque, covering all Aston Martins, from the pre-war sports and racing cars, to the David Brown era classics, right through to the current Gaydon-built generation of world-class sports cars and GTs. Take a look at the road cars, the race cars, the personalities, the engineers and stylists, and the craftsmen and women who have helped shape the company's unique heritage.

8. Plan your next driving adventure

We are sure it won't be long before we can all hit those open roads once again and discover the sense of adventure that feels such a distant memory. Well better than dreaming of it, why not start planning which fantastic UK routes you want to explore first? Across the bridge from us in the beautiful Welsh countryside we have found plenty of scenic routes to be enjoyed.

Welsh Map Aston Martin

We have put together five wonderful Welsh maps to help you with your planning and show you some of the best routes that you and your car can enjoy together.
