A name synonymous with motor racing will return to the 24hrs of Le Mans this year thanks to a new partnership with Aston Martin factory star Jonny Adam.
Dick Lovett, which started in 1966 and remains a family-run business comprising of premium marque dealerships - has chosen the Le Mans winner to be its brand ambassador.
The link to the 24hrs of Le Mans is an important one for Dick Lovett - whose chairman Peter Lovett raced at the classic La Sarthe event five times between 1977-82.
The Scotsman will proudly wear Dick Lovett branding on his race equipment throughout 2019 in all his race events - which include British GT, Blancpain GT Series, Spa 24hrs and most importantly the 24hrs of Le Mans with Aston Martin Racing in the Vantage GTE in June. He will also be on hand to represent Dick Lovett’s state-of-the-art Aston Martin dealership located in Bristol - which was opened in September 2016 by Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer - at a series of special events.
The 2019 season is also a significant year for Aston Martin, as the manufacturer marks the 60th anniversary when it won Le Mans overall in the famous DBR1.
Commenting on the new partnership Jonny said:
It’s really special to be teaming up with Dick Lovett and Aston Martin Bristol for 2019.
The connection with my racing activities for Aston Martin Racing and the dealership makes for some unique promotional opportunities and exposure throughout this season. I will work closely with the team at Aston Martin Bristol on and off the track to make the most of what promises to be a spectacular year.
As the 24hrs of Le Mans is fast approaching all of our focus at Aston Martin Racing is on the biggest race of the season, and I will be proud to carry the Dick Lovett logo at the 87th running of the event.
Aston Martin Bristol Dealer Principal Aaron Allnutt explained: "Racing is synonymous with both Aston Martin's heritage and Dick Lovett. There's no doubt this partnership is a perfect fit that will provide some fantastic insights for both our team and customers, and we are very excited to be working with a proven winner like Jonny as he sets his sights on more success in the coming year."
Adam will make his first outing as an ambassador for Dick Lovett at the home of British motorsport this weekend as the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup moves to Silverstone for round two.
After securing a top ten spot and finishing as the top Aston Martin runner in the opening event at Monza, Jonny and the Garage 59 team are hoping local knowledge can give them an edge this time out.
"We did ok in Italy but now it's the home round for the team and Aston Martin, and the circuit should really suit the new Vantage GT3, so it's game on for a really good result as far as I'm concerned," added Jonny.
