Calling all Aston Martin enthusiasts longing for a 4 x 4 all-terrain version of the legendary marque. All parents who’ve had to transition to a more family friendly car while secretly saddened there wasn’t an Aston Martin to suit.
Finally your wishes have been granted and it’s certainly been worth the wait. Aston Martin’s first ever SUV, the stunning and endlessly versatile DBX has arrived at Aston Martin Bristol, be one of the first to drive this exceptional luxury performance SUV.
The first Aston Martin SUV
Combining strength, practicality and endurance with the marque's trademark power and luxury, the DBX is the first Aston Martin to be put through a series of bespoke extreme-weather all-terrain tests. Each designed to make sure the DBX delivers a true off-road experience while also living up to Aston Martin's reputation for dynamic on-road performance.
The Aston Martin DBX will rival luxury SUVs including the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga Speed, Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the forthcoming Ferrari SUV. but as Aston Martin boss Andy Palmer says. “...those minded towards a beauty of execution will move to Aston”.
The most powerful V8 in the range
Lovers of Aston Martin’s unique style will be delighted to hear the front-end of the DBX is inspired by the DB11. The Aston Martin DBX also shares the DB11’s Mercedes AMG 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, revised to raise the power of the DBX to 542bhp and 700 Nm torque - the highest performing V8 in the range. As a result, you can expect to cruise to 62mph in under 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 180mph. This luxury 4 x 4 is an Aston Martin after all.
Sturdy 22” wheels, five driver modes including Terrain and Terrain Plus, adjustable air suspension with 7 height settings and electronic anti-roll bars help keep all this power in check, while the aluminum bonded structure keeps the overall weight down.
DBX interior - opulent comfort meets SUV functionality
True to form, the opulent interior of the Aston Martin DBX puts driver and passenger comfort first. With perforated leather heated front and rear seats, a full length panoramic glass roof giving an airy feel, 13 speaker Harmon Kardon Audio System and climate controlled rear passenger space providing legroom not found in rival SUVs.
Great attention has been paid to creating superior visibility from the driver’s seat, ensuring a clear view of all controls, screens, through windows and over the bonnet, for a confident sense of safety and spatial awareness when off-road or caught in a tight spot.
The digital dial cluster, which features cutting edge driver controls, rear view camera and large infotainment screen, integrates seamlessly into the elegant, sweeping dashboard.
This multi-terrain crossover SUV doesn’t shy away from the hard work either. The Aston Martin DBX is capable of towing 2.8 tonnes and has a generous 632 litre Bentayga-beating boot easily accessed via the electric tailgate. The boot also has an eminently practical adjustable floor so that you can load cumbersome items without having to heave them over a lip.
The Aston Martin SUV designed for everyone
The DBX has been designed to welcome everyone into the Aston Martin fold. With a practical five door layout, the luxurious cabin space flexes around modern lifestyles and the demands of families.
Created in consultation with a specially created female advisory board and tested by children let loose on the prototype, the Aston Martin DBX features easy to use buttons and a handy slot in the centre console to keep handbags within easy reach and off the floor.
Accessories for your every possible need
A carefully considered range of Aston Martin DBX packs has been developed to address the needs of almost any use, journey or pastime.
For example, the Pet Pack with a bumper protector, a portable washer and a cabin divider; the Snow Pack made up of a boot warmer, ski bag, roof-mounted ski rack and set of snow chains and the Touring Pack comprising a tailored luggage set, first aid kit and under-seat locker. Other packs are themed around Convenience, Indulgence, Elegance, Essentials, Event, Interior Protection and Expression.
Like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan (but around £100,000 cheaper), the DBX also offers packs with kit for selected outdoor activities, while optional extras include ultra-high-performance or all-season tyres, a gloss black body pack, and black or carbon badges.
3 years’ servicing is included in the price of the DBX
The price of the Aston Martin DBX will start from £158,000 including the cost of the first three years' servicing as standard. A reassuring extra that makes putting Aston Martin’s first 4 x 4 SUV through its paces all the more tempting.
Whether you’re a sports car driver, an off roader or the family taxi, the Aston Martin DBX has everything you could ask of a luxury SUV. And so much more.
